8 weeks today! I'm so excited to announce that we officially graduated from the RE's office today. Now, we're considered a regular twin pregnancy! Our appointment went really well. I picked up Surfer from work, and we went to see Doc. The ultrasound went wonderfully; Doc was able to show us both of our little ones, and one WAS waving at us! One baby was very easy to see and the other was laying at an odd angle so we were looking down on the top of its head - but we still were able to see both of their beautiful little hearts fluttering away. Each baby is about a 3/4" long.
We're relieved that both little ones are doing well, and we're also relieved that Doc didn't find another baby hiding somewhere in there (we asked him to check really well!).
Leaving Doc's office was quite a milestone - just to think that four and a half months ago, we went to him - sad, frustrated, wondering if we'd ever have children. And today, he sent us on our way with a big hug and many, many smiles. We promised we'd bring the babies back when they're born - and he was thrilled with that idea.
God bless Doc, and that whole wonderful clinic, for helping make our dreams of having children come true. And than you, Lord, for continuing to bless us and this pregnancy. We're so very grateful!
