Nursery Progress

I'm so excited; things are progressing with the nursery! We decided to move out of the master bedroom and set up the larger room for the babies. I've purchased nearly everything on Craigslist (deals, deals, deals!). We didn't need to paint the room, as we loved the green color we already had on the walls and ceiling. This is the before:
Thanks to some great 50% off coupons for the fabric store and some excellent style advice from my mom, I was able to make the bedding and curtains and finally finished them yesterday! The only things missing are the light pink flannel crib sheets that we've registered for - they are the same color as the light accent pink and will go nicely on the cribs, I think.

A few pics with the flash on so you can see the detail:
And a few without the flash to see the true color and warmth of the room (so far):

So... anybody have some good ideas of what to put on the walls???

I love your nursery, Stacy! It is just darling. I'm impressed you made it all yourself. Those are two lucky little girls.

Here are some wall ideas:

* get two really big picture frames and, when the girls are born, have someone take a "first day" photo of each, print them out, and put them in the frames

* get the same color of wall paint in a high-gloss, then paint swirls or circles or some other design
* cut their initials out of wood (a really huge A and a really huge C), paint them white, and hang above each crib

Just a little brainstorming...

Stacy, you are so cute--and so is the girls' room! You have a wonderful sweetness about all of this! I think you should get two huge bulletin boards, and keep putting up souvenirs and pix, switching things around as you get them or the mood strikes! Like you can put up their little arm bands, and yours...and cards you get, and even pieces of wrapping paper from gifts! Everything's so precious you won't want to take anything down!
